Watertown, New York

UFPE continues to provide fire protection engineering and construction phase services for the installation of retrofit fire protection system for a 100,000 sf. renovation project. Fire protection systems include fire alarm and detection, fire sprinkler, fire standpipe and mass notification systems in a functioning hospital facility. Special design and construction expertise is needed since the facility must remain operational during design and construction.

Niagara Falls, New York

UFPE is providing fire protection engineering consulting for a 350,000 sf. paper mill. The mill, which processes recycled paper, is scheduled to be operational in mid-2013. Fire protection includes fire sprinkler, fire pump and high expansion foam systems. Fire modeling (using FDS) was conducted to predict the heat release rate of burning roll paper in a configuration never before tested or modeled.

Ft. Drum, New York

UFPE has completed fire sprinkler commissioning services for a 198 and a 314 man barracks. This included reviewing the installing contractor's NFPA 13 working drawings, performing site visit inspections and observing acceptance testing.

UFPE is in the construction phase of fire sprinkler, fire alarm and fire detection systems for a utility building. The building is being constructed to replace one that was, ironically, lost in a fire.
